Banking
Rand banking, rail by rail
South African casino banking is its own species. Forget e-wallet gymnastics — here it is bank apps, vouchers from the garage shop and EFT payouts into a local account.
Deposits
Instant EFT — Ozow, SiD, OwnPay, Stitch
You log in through your own bank's flow, approve the payment, and the balance updates in seconds. No card number is ever shared with the casino. This is the default route for almost every SA player and the one we recommend first.
Vouchers — 1Voucher, OTT, Blu
Buy a voucher for cash at Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Boxer or a garage, then redeem the PIN in the cashier. Perfect if you would rather keep gambling off your bank statement or you are unbanked. Note that voucher deposits sometimes fall outside bonus eligibility.
Capitec Pay & FNB eWallet
Capitec Pay approves the payment inside the Capitec app with no card details at all. FNB eWallet works where the operator supports it — handy for topping up someone else's play money, though it is generally deposit-only.
Visa & Mastercard
Still accepted everywhere, but many SA banks decline gambling merchant codes by default. If your card bounces, switch to Instant EFT rather than phoning the bank.
Withdrawals, FICA and cash send
EFT is the payout rail
Whatever you deposited with, withdrawals almost always come back as an EFT into a bank account in your own name. Voucher and card deposits do not reverse — the money takes the EFT road home. Make sure the account name matches your casino account name exactly, or the payment gets bounced back for review.
Cash send vs EFT
Some SA-licensed operators offer cash-send style withdrawals you can draw at an ATM or branch. It is quicker for small amounts but usually capped low and sometimes carries a fee. For anything meaningful, standard EFT is cheaper and just as fast once your account is verified.
FICA — do it on day one
Expect to upload a green ID book, smart card or passport, plus a proof of address no older than three months, and sometimes a selfie holding the ID. Doing this the day you register turns a three-day payout into a same-day one. Doing it at cash-out time is how people end up complaining online about slow casinos.
Fees
None of our three brands charges you to deposit by Instant EFT. Withdrawal fees are typically zero for the first withdrawal in a period, with a small charge on repeats — a good reason to cash out in one lump rather than in daily dribbles.
